A Note About Site Ownership
Terry McAuliffe
30 Independence Circle
Most of you know that I am
a past officer of the Brookside
of Middlebury Association. I thought that a web site would be a great way to communicate with the homeowners for all matters
related to the community.
A number of Brookside residents have told me that they thought this site was produced by Baker
Residential. I'd like to let you know that the site was not produced by Baker Residential
nor by the management company,
but was instead sponsored totally by myself at my own expense for the benefit of the Brookside
homeowners. The staff at Baker Residential and Concord Group are aware of the web site and
are supportive of my efforts,
however the site is independent of these companies and receives no money from
them. It is my intention to pay the yearly costs (about $105 to a hosting
company) and to supply all necessary programming. I plan to run the web site
as a private newsletter and will wait for the community to mature before
deciding on other possibilities.
Most of the information on the site was initially developed from information in the association
documents and from my interactions in the community. Going forward,
I am very interested in homeowners
acting as reporters and news sources -- to provide a wide variety of information to our neighbors.
Please feel free to visit me in person or email me at
If you ever spot
information on this site that is inaccurate please bring it to my attention
and I will correct it right away.
Important Note
This privately owned web site is not an official means of communicating association meeting notices to the community.
Such notices must be delivered in a form specified by Sections 25 and 26 of the bylaws. The web site
is intended to supplement the association legal notices and provide other helpful information.
The official documents of the association are the Public Offering Statement (Declaration), Bylaws, and
Rules and Regulations that all homeowners received upon purchase of their unit. The legal procedures
and stipulations are written there and homeowners should read those documents
to understand their responsibilities. This web site can be considered a modern day
"newsletter", but does not
replace or supercede any of the legal documents.
At some future time the Association may choose to use some or all of this site as an official means
of communication. Homeowners will be notified if this occurs and the wording used on this site will
be changed to communicate the official status.
